The trip has started with the Gateway to the west. I was able to stay with a friend here in the Lou which was gracious enough to lead m e around to a few bars. St. Louis remains a town which seems to have a bunch of empty streets followed up with streets that has actual business. There never seems to be too much foot traffic in this city. On a previous visit to a Rams Bears game the only people walking were to the Edward Jones Dome and even then it was less than you would expect at a sporting event. Only one side of the street was populated with pedestrians. It is an odd city, St. Louis, it seems like it should be a bit more bustling, but its St. Louis.
Had a delicious STLIPA from Urban Chestnut at a lovely bar Llywelyn's. It was not overly hoppy, but it had a delicious carmel-like mouth feel and some citrus taste which was very surprising. It was a great Double Indian Pale Ale.
Hyperthetical will come in the afternoon.
